On The Silver Screen
Has anyone seen any good movies lately? I'm completely out of touch but I think it's about time I endulge in some of Hollywood's finest.
Any recommendations? Theatre or DVD would be good.

"Pursuit of Happiness" on DVD (it was the second to last movie I saw in the theater). Very good performances. And a feel-good movie. Well, more like feel-bad, feel-bad, feel-bad, then feel-good movie.
"Little Miss Sunshine" on DVD. Quirky and funny.
I just saw "300" in the theater. Two and a half stars if you like action movies (I added one star because it was in the theater...it's not worth it on the small screen). It desperately needed a better script writer/screenplay adapter (monologues and dialogues were often very tiresome).
hmmm - if you like foreign films try "Curse of the Golden Flower" it's Chinese, a tale from the Forbidden City, subtitled, some wicked martial arts scenes, a little bloody, but wow. What a story!
I've been looking at Curse of the Golden Flower...thanks for the cudos...might rent it tonight if softball is rained out which, by the crashing against my window right now, just might not be that unrealistic!
Thanks for all the recommends guys...I've been thinking of a few of them!
